Investigators use reason to build clear perceptions

Investigators seek purity in their pursuit of knowledge and wisdom

We use deductive logic to build layers of assumptions that anchor our reality. This makes us more isolated and independent, as this distinguishes our perceptions from the perceptions of those around us. The result is a development of clear positions we use to make all decisions. This makes us incredibly vulnerable to Subjectification patterns where we believe our truth so fervently we no longer question it. The key to understanding Investigators is to realize that concepts have to make sense to us scientifically before we engage new possibilities. The cost of us being this objective is that it is difficult for Investigators to build friendships with others who we think have adopted ‘fuzzy’ logic. Hence, we Investigators commonly find ourselves alone or lonely, or both. Sometimes we show up as being detached, theoretical and socially out of touch. It is also why we face ridicule for our ‘nerdy’ behaviors.

Investigators Facilitate Thinking

The Source of Investigative (Scholar) Power Is Intellectual Stimulation And Response

The real impact of Investigators is felt when we engage intellectual topics and stimulate others to develop their own response. No other Creative Expression is able to challenge assumptions and Beliefs as much as an Investigator. Since Investigators judge ourselves by how much we move forward, the discovery of new ways of doing something in a society, we Investigators esteem ourselves through discoveries, inventions, patents, or through teaching. Increasingly, in current society, Investigators are assuming leadership roles in business. This is the opposite of how Investigators were assigned staff positions in organizations with no upward mobility possible in the '40's to the 70's. The technological revolution has made it necessary for CEOs and other top management to understand the scientific aspects of these businesses which was previously unthinkable.

Investigators Are Truth-Seekers

Validating The Larger Truth

One of the great insights about Investigators is that we seek the common middle ground where we do not overdo or underdo our Thoughts. We call this process being neutral and objective about the circumstances surrounding a situation. This comes across as a sense of Personality detachment and intellectual discernment which is a key to self-understanding. As we Investigators become more evolved, our sense of detachment becomes a field of engagement, where all possibilities can be considered. We also possess a desire for consensus in the understanding of any situation. It is this truth-seeking which keeps us from getting too set in our Positions and Beliefs. Some would say that we Investigators are one of the few Creative Expressions who really understand that we have to constantly regenerate our Truth rather than becoming comfortable in it. The one issue that we have to confront eventually, is our perspective that the Truth is an exclusive process rather than an inclusive one.
