Ending Personality Reactions

Most individuals connect to others through co-dependent needs and compromised boundaries. As a result, our relationships feel dead, disconnected, and isolated when we do not have appropriate energetic boundaries. Or when we feel friction, conflict, and intensity when we are caught in power struggles. Finally, it is even more troubling to discover that many of us are not seen, accepted, or appreciated because we have denied our own feelings and emotions. This prevents us from being able to calibrate and connect our experience with others.

Relationships do not have to be compromising. It is our conditioning, defenses, and idealization patterns that frame the friction we create in relationships. The source of this friction is from not understanding ourselves as a creative being, making it impossible to see and accept others as they are. Pain reflects the self-denial of our own autonomy and how we are balancing our experience with others. Joy reflects the degree of mutual learning we are doing and how well we are accepting others. Common Neutral Ground allows us to create as much inner space as we need to deal with the imbalances of others so that we do not take things personally or need to become defensive. This is why Common Neutral Ground is a practice where we re-frame and re-interpret experiences to benefit our growth.

When we can appreciate and bring out Beauty, Truth, and Goodness and share it with others, it creates a form of abundance that leads to greater creative flow and joy. Common Ground is a framework, therefore, of balance so no one can compromise us unless we agree to go along with them. It is self-declared and originates in our imagination. When we create it internally it becomes a way to organize our interactions. It allows us to deal with difficult relationships by being more detached from differences and resolving conflict by confronting what we are no longer willing to deal with.

Common Neutral Ground is a way of operating where we use the experience of alignment or similarities to build closer ties and understanding with others. This has real-world consequences because we learn to uplift our independence to create a balanced, neutral, trans-personal way of interacting with others. We need to locate ourselves in our own energy, time and space. Our choice is to consciously take advantage of the insights of consciousness that would allow us to be co-creative with others. Common Neutral Ground is a way of applying what we know about Compatibility Factors, Motives, Attractions and Relationship Skills. It is the foundation of the Higher Alignment work. By learning how to be ourselves, we open the door to making greater contributions that promote co-creative abundance.
