Experiencing Life

Building Pleasure, Power & Passion

To deepen our relationships we need to completely experience our Sensations, Feelings, Emotions and Thoughts. This requires releasing the repression of our family dynamics around these elements. We need to reestablish wholeness and balance our ability to process in the moment without being overwhelmed by new events. This requires creating inner spaciousness so the things that occur can easily move through us. Owning Our Experience is about rebuilding our internal structure so the compromises of our past do not limit the choices or changes we want to make. The paradox of this process is we want to increase the ability to respond to our environment while simultaneously creating options about how to reinterpret our experiences. When this is accomplished, it offers the greatest freedom to have the life we want so Pleasure, Power and Passion are natural.

Pleasure

What Is Pleasure?

Pleasure is the capacity to experience our sensory nature. Our five outer senses stimulate us in ways that are either pleasurable or painful. It is interesting that in recalling sensory experiences of pleasure the mind cannot distinguish the re-created event from the actual experience. Since we are biologically driven to seek out pleasure, we can get trapped in pursuing fantasies of Excitement. When we are present with our body experience, we are able to appreciate Beauty, both inwardly and outwardly. We call this shift in engagement Aliveness. We are also able to feel physically and magnetically connected on many levels, which is called Cellular Affinity. Pleasure is also an evolutionary facilitator of sexual interactions. We also experience upper boundary limits around Beauty. Many experience the greatest pleasure in Stillness

Creative Power

What Is Creative Power?

Creative Power is the capacity to affect our environment in a way that enhances security. It is a reflection of becoming a master of our own environment and is therefore directly related to Intelligence and Wisdom. Power reflects the ability to understand our circumstances and develop new responses that improve our lives. To the degree we are present with our Truth is the degree we do not get caught up in defensive interactions with others. Truth and Intelligence are metaphorically represented by Light. When Thoughts and Emotions are balanced and present, we can sense the quality of our Truth through Vibratory Response. This shift from being at the affect of thoughts to being a creator of them is true Power. Otherwise, internal conflicts between Emotions and Thoughts get projected on others.

Passion

What Is Passion?

Passion is an invitation to co-create with others. It is most distinguished by our quality of enthusiasm. Some individuals also experience it as playfulness. It is the result of being exuberantly connected to our body and mind simultaneously. Passion has the capacity to be self-reflective, yet not attached to others’ views of our responses. It indicates we have individuated ourselves and can demonstrate the skills of Autonomy and Intimacy. This opens us up to Mutual Learning and the capacity to see and accept others as they are. Many individuals limit the expression of Passion because they are afraid others will use it to manipulate them. They are fearful of judgment from others, which reinforces inner anxiety. When we are over-concerned about how others see us, it creates an upper boundary limit on Passion.

Growing A CNG (Common Neutral Ground)

Pleasure, Power And Passion

Our conditioning makes it hard to accept Pleasure, Authentic Power and Passion in our lives. Instead, it wants to use these aspirations to motivate us without making them possible. Every once in a while, we actually think we are going to have an experience, only to find it is not what we imagined. What we want to recognize is that we need to manage our lives differently without using Objectification, Subjectification and Idealization (if we want to experience Pleasure, Power and Passion). Otherwise, Defensive conditioning occupies the higher ground and dictates what it feels we deserve based on our degree of activity. Actually, no activity is necessary.
