What Are Relationship Skills?
Skills Are Based Upon Creative Acceptance, Mutual Understanding And Compassion
Experiencing creative flow is one of the primary indicators
that we are in alignment with our partners. We accomplish
this when we honor our own Creative Nature and hold
space for the Creative input of others. In this way,
Relationship Skills affirm mutual understandings about
creative opportunities and help guide us in Co-Creative
projects. Instead of fixating on needs, Relationship Skills
reinforce transpersonal opportunities that arise between
self-affirmed creative individuals. Breaking out of
personality Fears and Desires helps promote greater
trust so we feel empowered to share our experiences
and are shaped by the experiences of our partners.
Through Mutual Growth, Autonomy, Intimacy, and
Co-Creativity, partners facilitate our creative expression
and we can experience greater compassion with them
Creative Context Expansion
Enriching Our Relationships
We use Relationship Skills to create a Common Neutral Ground where we can share ourselves and be seen by
our partners. Our capacity to connect and re-create our partner’s experiences depends on having space within to share them. Our goal is to be completely accessible without compromising any personal boundaries. When we can share the space of these 12 Skills with our partners, it allows us to know the solidity of our relationship and
how we can support each other. The 12 Skills, or creative context, we want in the CNG are Aliveness, Wisdom,
Growth, Playfulness, Personality Detachment, Autonomy, Paradox, Intuitive Discrimination, Intimacy, Mutual Learning, Physical Discernment and Co-Creativity. Having these qualities established within the relationship permits
greater responsiveness and integration capabilities.
Skills Amplify Motive Access
Motives Are The Foundation Of Skills
Relationship consciousness is amplified when Skills
provide context, Motives describe intent, and Attractions
clarify content (or our lessons). We cannot work together
as partners without the alignment of each element in our
lives. While change or growth can be initiated on any level,
we optimize our capacity to uplift consciousness with a
partner when we work from the point of view of our
relationship skills. Upper boundary limits sabotage the
capacity to use skills to bring alignment, both personally
and interpersonally. The more flexible we become in our
personal skills, the more capacity we have to meet our
partners where they are. Ultimately, it is about expanding
to meet our partners while simultaneously being present
with ourselves. Relationship skills are the vanguard of
our development process. We follow where they lead.
Skills Amplify Attractions
Attractions Shift As Skills Take Charge
Skills help us develop the meaning of what we do and how
we do it. When we understand what we want, we can align
attractions so they get us there quickly. Unfortunately,
when we let attractions define our course of action, we
do not see the unanticipated consequences. Attractions
are, in fact, a course of engagement without looking at
what we actually desire. For example, co-dependent
attractions, such as excitement, intensity and anxiety,
keep us from being in creative relationships. When we
add Skills to attractions, we can conquer co-dependent
relationships through Enthusiastic Growth, Autonomous
Aliveness, Intimate Vulnerability and Conscious
Co-Creativity. These skill-based attractions transmute,
transform and transfigure the quality of our relationships.
Putting Skills first increases our creative power.
